The overall pre-agreed fee is payable in 3 stages as follows:
Work Stage 1
To cover the cost of preparing the initial feasibility study, our charge is usually in the order of £500
Work Stage 2
The cost of obtaining planning permission will depend upon the complexity of the work involved and that, in turn, will depend to a great extent upon the level of information required by a Local Planning Authority to assess an application. However, typical costs range between £3,500 and £6,000.
Work Stage 3
Our fee for the advice given under work stage 3 will depend upon our initial assessment of the work involved but typical costs are between £5,000 and £8,000.
Payment Terms
- Fees agreed for the completion of work stages 1 and 2 are payable in advance of any work being undertaken.
- Fees agreed for the completion of work stage 3 are payable in 12 equal monthly instalments following the practical opening of the business.
- If the client wishes to engage us on an on-going basis under work stage 4, which would only take effect after the business had been operating for 12 months, then our fee would be based upon a percentage of rental income received.
